Duke
Duke
1 1/2 yr old Bearded Collie
HI!

My name is Duke, the nice people here at Brownsville Animal Defense took
me in and gave me a second chance. And boy am I grateful. I would do
good with any kind of family. I'm good with kids and humans of all ages.
You could say I'm very laid back. I do love going for rides in the car or the
back of my foster family's pick up truck. I also love going to the dog park. I'm
really good about going to the vet since, I have to go all the time for my
ears. But soon I will have my surgery and I won't have to go to the Dr so
much.

I don't go potty in the house or chew on furniture. I'm also not the type to
jump on your bed. I do great in doors or out.  I get along with other dogs but
I really don't like cats.  I'm not the type of dog that barks for no reason. I do
bark if I need something or if there is someone I don't know. And I have to
admit if I'm happy to see you I will get excited and bark. I just can't help it.

When my hair is all grown out I will need to be groomed. (whispers "If you
let it grow long I look like the Shaggy dog from the Disney movie") But I'm
ok if you want to keep it short. Cuz it does get really hot down here in Texas.

I love my foster family but I would really like to have a forever family. If you
would like to meet me just let the awesome people at Brownsville Animal
Defense know.

See ya soon

The Bearded Collie dog breed is another dog breed that Hollywood movie makers have used in films. The Shaggy Dog was indeed an
Old English Sheep Dog, but the Bearded Collie also made several appearances as a stunt double in the movie.
